Parallel Reader lets you work with EPUB and audio files you lawfully possess. You must not use it to bypass digital rights management, infringe copyright, or distribute copyrighted content. The app does not remove DRM and rejects EPUBs that declare encrypted content.

The free reader

Importing two EPUBs, manual alignment, linked reading, local audio playback, sentence capture, TSV export, and JSON backup are available without payment.

Reader’s desk purchase

Reader’s desk is an optional one-time $18 license that unlocks private notes for saved pairs and supports continued development. Sociobot/Dodo is the merchant of record. Checkout, receipts, taxes, and refunds are handled there. A refunded, revoked, invalid, or wrong-product license will no longer unlock paid features. Core reading and export remain available.

Availability

The software is provided “as is” without a promise that every EPUB will parse perfectly. Keep original books and exported backups. We are not liable for lost browser data or indirect damages to the extent permitted by law.
